Gavillet & Rust is a graphic design studio established in 2001 by Gilles Gavillet and David Rust, joined in 2006 by Nicolas Eigenheer. We work for clients in both cultural and commercial fields with a focus on editorial design, brand identities, and typeface development through our digital type foundry Optimo. The studio has been responsible for the art direction of the publisher JRP|Ringier since 2004. Recent works have included editorial design for the Centre Pompidou in Paris, art direction for Marc Newson's watch label Ikepod, and the brand identity for Jay-Z's entertainment venture Roc Nation.
